EXCELLENT Based on 95 reviews Posted on Google angie nurseTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Carrie provided a knowledgeable professional service from the first point of contact. My dog responded really well to her and the training she suggested was picked up really quickly. Results are not always immediate but that is the responsibility of the owner to be consistent. Carrie gives the tools and is generous with her additional 'doggy' information.Posted on Google Mike BrownTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After an initial bad experience with another dog trainer, we started with Carrie who completely revolutionised how we trained our new Cocker Spaniel puppy Sirius! Her calm approach alongside her in-depth experience has been so valuable to our successes when training him. We’ve worked on a wide variety of things, from gun dog training, to building strong recall, to separation anxiety training. We cannot recommend Carrie enough for helping you get your dog on track and well-trained!Posted on Google GillianTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We can thoroughly recommend Carrie as a canine behaviourist. Carrie was knowledgeable and kind, and took time to understand the issues that our rescue lurcher Toby was struggling with, and the back story to those issues. The main issue for Toby was that he had trauma associated with the vet when he went into rescue so he wasn't able to go to the vet. We had been forced to give him sedatives just to enable him to have his vaccinations. Which was not ideal. And he was 10 years old so he was starting to need to be able to be examined by a vet more regularly. Carrie was very flexible with timings and appointments and we felt totally supported as she guided us through the process of training Toby. She essentially trained us all! We learnt to have a method of communication with Toby which in turn led to him trusting us which in turn meant he was able to get into the vet, and carrie supported us all through the process and beyond. It really felt like a miracle and we can't thank Carrie or recommend her enough for this!Posted on Google Emma DavisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Carrie through our dog daycare, Happy Hounds, after hearing great things from other dogs and owners who also use her. After around 5+ sessions with Carrie, I honestly can’t recommend her enough. I started working with Carrie for my two girls, Berger and Happy, who both had different things we wanted to work on. From the very beginning, I really liked Carrie’s approach. The initial call was so helpful, followed by a detailed questionnaire that really made me think about what I wanted to achieve and what my objectives were. This meant that every session felt personalised and focused on exactly what we needed. I really enjoyed the way the sessions were structured too. We’d work with both dogs together, then focus on one dog during the next session and swap around, which gave me the chance to understand both of them individually as well as together. When I first reached out to Carrie, I was honestly starting to lose confidence walking my two dogs together. It had become stressful and I wasn’t really enjoying our walks anymore. Over the past few months, working with Carrie has completely changed that. My confidence has grown so much, our walks are enjoyable again, and I can genuinely see that both girls are happier and more relaxed on their walks too. The tools and techniques Carrie has taught me have been brilliant. It feels like I now have a whole toolbox that I can reach into when we’re out walking, and I’ve become much more aware and in tune with my dogs and what they’re communicating to me. I’ve tried other dog training in the past, but I really love Carrie’s approach. She is friendly, patient, knowledgeable and clearly so passionate about what she does. Most importantly, I never feel bad if I get something wrong, Carrie always makes you feel supported and helps you understand how to improve. I’m so glad we found Carrie and would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a fantastic, kind and genuinely passionate dog trainer. She has made such a positive difference to both my dogs and to my confidence as an owner.Posted on Google Pippa DavisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Carrie has transformed my dogs' lives (and mine!). Carrie first helped us when our Tibetan mastiff was a puppy and we had no idea how to train and engage with such a large dog. She was a phenomenal help with Hugo and now Hugo sees her as life long family! We wouldn't know what we'd have done without Carrie. Recently I've worked with Carrie with my dog Poppy, who became so frightened of walks outside, loud noises, cars being near by, I was so worried and didn't know what to do. Carrie met me and Poppy where we were and helped us build up Poppy's confidence step by step. She also noticed something in Poppy's gait that she suggested we check out, and I am so glad I did because there was underlying muscle pain that I wouldn't have been aware of at all otherwise! Her knowledge, care and expertise is outstanding and our dogs love her to bits. Would highly recommend Carrie to any dog owner with a new puppy or is stuck not knowing how to help their dog!Posted on Google Geraldine WynneTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Carey was extremely helpful with my new puppy, she helped me through the difficult early days 💚Posted on Google Alan SchofieldTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Carrie came recommended for 121 training and started by giving us lots of info and tips which have become good routines for us and dog. Our specific needs were about walking calmly whilst cars passed and Carrie showed us how to keep our dog close on the pavement rather than rush ahead. She trained us on how to distract our dog successfully when cars approached and advised on how to build up her exposure to more traffic over time. Carrie was very professional, reassuring and helpful in her approach. We can thoroughly recommend her service.Posted on Google Katie BraithwaiteTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Carrie is very knowledgeable about all aspects of training even down to getting our toddler involved and how to help our cocker spaniel loose some weight. We would definitely recommend Carrie to anyone looking for some support for their pooch. Thank you!Posted on Google martin priceTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We cannot recommend Carrie at Carrie’s Canines highly enough. From the very beginning, Carrie took the time to understand both us and our dog’s individual needs, creating a personalised training plan that was tailored and adapted each week as we progressed. With Carrie’s guidance, we have seen a huge improvement in our dog’s hypersensitivity, anxiety, lead pulling, demand barking and reactivity. Her calm, knowledgeable and positive approach has given us the confidence and skills to continue reinforcing the training at home. What really sets Carrie apart is her ongoing support. She was always available whenever we needed advice, reassurance or guidance, and genuinely cared about helping us achieve the best outcome. Thanks to Carrie’s dedication and expertise, our dog is much happier, calmer and more enjoyable to walk, and we feel much more confident as owners. We would highly recommend Carrie’s Canines to anyone looking for a professional, supportive and highly effective dog trainer.
