Living with a Sproodle often means living with a dog who is bright, affectionate, and deeply connected to their people. It can also mean living with uncertainty, days where behaviour feels settled, and others where anxiety, overthinking, or restlessness take over. My sproodle dog training in Coventry is designed to help bring more consistency, confidence, and calm into everyday life.
Because Sproodles are a Springer Spaniel and Poodle cross, they tend to combine enthusiasm with emotional sensitivity. My role is to help your dog feel secure in their decisions and help you understand how to guide them without pressure, frustration, or constant management.
Sproodles are not difficult dogs, but they are thoughtful dogs. Many are highly tuned in to their environment and to their owners, which means they can struggle when expectations are unclear or situations feel unpredictable.
From the Springer side, they may inherit a love of movement and engagement. From the Poodle side, they often inherit emotional awareness and sensitivity. Together, this can create dogs who:
Training works best when it helps a Sproodle feel safe to make decisions, rather than trying to override their instincts.

Instead of centring training around “fixing behaviour”, my work with Sproodles focuses on creating stability.
That usually means:
This approach suits Sproodles, who are clever, sensitive, and easily overwhelmed by too much intensity.

I work through structured 1:1 programmes, delivered over time rather than as isolated sessions. This allows both you and your dog to understand what is happening and why.
Training typically includes:
The aim is not perfection, but steady progress that feels sustainable.

Many Sproodles are deeply attached to their owners and can struggle with uncertainty, changes in routine, or time alone. Rather than labelling this as a problem, I focus on helping dogs feel safe and capable.
Training support may include:
This approach helps Sproodles feel more secure and less reliant on external reassurance.

Training happens in the places that matter most, not just in controlled environments.
I work with Sproodle owners:
This helps ensure that the skills you practise translate into real life, not just training sessions.

Training can begin as soon as your Sproodle comes home. Early training focuses on calm behaviour, confidence, and understanding routines. I also work successfully with adolescent and adult Sproodles.
Many Sproodles need mental clarity and calm structure more than additional physical activity. Training helps balance stimulation with relaxation.
Yes. When training focuses on predictability, independence, and emotional regulation, many Sproodles become noticeably more settled.
Yes. I work with a range of poodle crosses and spaniel breeds, but Sproodles benefit from tailored support due to their unique mix of traits.
If you are looking for sproodle dog training in Coventry that focuses on calm behaviour, confidence, and steady progress, I would be happy to support you.

Due to covid, the session was over zoom, but this… read more didn’t hinder the training session at all! If anything, having less distraction, and the ability to train our puppy, Snow at home, was really great 😊 Carrie is very informative and helpful, and her style of teaching is very clear and easy to follow. Carrie has been super helpful already and we can’t wait to continue the journey with Snow at Carrie’s Canines 🐶 P.S- Snow can’t wait to meet some puppies when restrictions lift! Lori and Stuart 😊
I would definitely recommend Carrie’s puppy classes. I took my tiny chihuahua to her classes and she loved it! Her confidence grew and grew! Thank you Carrie!

Highly recommended! Carrie has been an invaluable support for us and our spaniel pup, who is almost a year old now. We’ve done lockdown Zoom puppy training, had 1-2-1 advice… read more and outdoor group classes – building on basics and loose lead training. Throughout Carrie has given lots of support and help when we needed it. She has lots of materials to back up the face to face work. Reading materials and refresher videos relating to what was covered in class and the reasoning behind it are made available. Aside from this the philosophy is very much understanding the dog and working through the stages of puppy development. This is really helpful and develops a strong life-long bond with your best furry friend! ❤️
We have just completed the 6 week dream puppy plan with Carrie after she was recommended to us. We have learnt so much from the classes and also the online… read more resources available to look back on at home. As first time puppy owners it was one of the best decisions we have made as we have seen a huge improvement in our puppies behaviour and also given us heaps of knowledge and understanding. The classes cover a wide range of things from basic behaviour and recall to tricks and also fun games. Carrie demonstrates everything on her own dogs which is really helpful and gives you a clearer understanding of how to do things. Carrie is professional, friendly, patient and extremely knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble, we have been able to reach out at any time for advice or recommendations and always get a quick response. Carrie even went out of her way to catch us up after missing a session which we are extremely grateful for. We will definitely be recommending Carrie to anyone we know with a puppy/dog!
I contacted Carrie after a recommendation from a friend and could not be happier with the care she provided for our cat Teddy over a 7 day holiday. She kept… read more us up to date with regular photos and texts of Teddy which was brilliant …. will definitely be using Carrie again when we go away in the summer!
Carrie has been my ‘rock’…our journey…It was very quickly apparent my puppy suffered Separation Anxiety from very early on. I contacted Carrie as we needed help. We started on a… read more 1-2-1 which helped embed the process, having daily training sessions and a weekly zoom call to discuss progress. I felt immediately supported. Then disaster struck. He broke his jaw at 20 weeks old. We put his training on hold until he recovered. Throughout this time Carrie kept in touch to see how we were. Training commenced on his recovery and then for the next 14 months we were on Carries fantastic Separation Anxiety programme. With daily advice, step by step instructions and a handy App to record everything, we have managed to navigate the world of ‘managed absences’ to now reach a comfortable 3 to 4 hour alone time. Its been extremely difficult at times but Carrie’s SA training works if you trust in the process. We couldn’t have done it without her. I have my life back…thank you Carrie.
very helpful and passionate x
Carrie has helped turn my clingy Velcro puppy that wouldn’t leave my side into a dog that is happy to be left on her own for 4 hours and did… read more this all within 6 weeks! Carrie’s methods really do work, she’s been super accessible and kept me feeling positive when I’ve been feeling that I can’t see a light at the end of the tunnel and now I can do normal things like the school run and shopping without worrying. I would definitely recommend Carrie to everyone and also the dream puppy class which did really work via zoom. It was nice to know other people were having the same struggles and that there are solutions! My pup now has the basics in good manners and behaviours. Thanks Carrie
